Location data — your coordinates or entered address, used solely to search for nearby venues. This is never transmitted to us or stored beyond your browser session.
Theme preference — dark or light mode is saved in your browser's localStorage. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Third-Party Services

Hereforthe.beer relies on the following third-party APIs. Your requests to find venues pass through our server to these services:

Google Maps Platform — used for map display, geocoding, and nearby venue discovery. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Untappd — used to retrieve beer and check-in data. Subject to Untappd's Privacy Policy.
Google Fonts — used to load the Fredoka typeface. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not share your information with any other third parties, run advertising, or use tracking cookies.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the app is used — including page views, search terms, and feature interactions. This data is anonymised and aggregated. Google Analytics may set cookies on your device. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish users and sessions. The only other browser storage used is localStorage for your theme preference, which you can clear at any time through your browser settings.
